Patsy Moore is an award-winning, cat d singer, songwriter, who first gained attention in the 1990s, after releasing two albums on Warner Bros. Numerous performers, including jazz world favorite Dianne Reeves have recorded her tunes. Since 2008, she has been an independent recording artist, with a new project slated for early 2015. Patsy is also known as the contributor of five tone poems appearing in Misa Justa, a symphonic jazz mass by Argentine-born composer Eduardo Gutibrrez del Barrio, performed at the start of 2005, at L.A's, Walt Disney Concert Hall, by the Los Angeles Philharmonic; a large choir; and a small group of soloists. The ambitious work is widely described as "a celebration of womanhood". Patsy co-wrote, arranged, and produced Kwanzaa for Young People, she served as Music Supervisor for the Quincy Jones-helmed last night TV show "VIBE" and, for two years, was music director for the Living in the Light spiritual center. She was the founder, senior editor of the Bohemian Aesthetic, (a popular online arts, culture, activism, current affairs magazine now defunct) and creator of Patsy Moore's Song Masters Seminar Series. Alongside Mar Hobbs, she owns and operates Papa Chuy media (a small music and film production company); the two women compose for film, TV, theater, commercials, and games under the name "glasskid". In addition to her work in music, Patsy is a published poet and essayist, as well as a filmmaker and occasional lecturer.
